September 15, 2008 -- visiting the ancient city of Zhoucun

In the morning we attended the opening ceremony for the city of Zhoucun's cultural festival -- below: Braeden, Ryan, Sylvan and Sam

We visited the old section of the city and got to see how the city's speciality, Shaobing (sesame pancakes) were made.

September 9 - Confucius' Birthplace & Mt. Tai

According to our tour guide, Confucius taught that women's greatest virtue was ignorance...... Below is a photo from Confucius Temple, in Qufu, 2 hours drive from Jinan.
